This is a fixed term position for 2 years. The role is to support and contribute to the development and delivery in community partnerships programmes and the onsite discovery programme, All in support of RZSS’ vision and mission and values.
Some of the things you’ll do:
- Support the delivery of the annual community plan and meet agreed engagement targets
- Assist with the development of community programmes
- Be the main point of contact for our community service users
- Research, develop and deliver content for community and discovery programmes including the creation of resource materials
- Work directly with our communities and maintain partnerships and relationships
- Maintain dynamic first-class customer service and public engagement throughout all delivery focusing on delivering informative, professional presentations and exceeding audience expectations
- Support the creation of programmes which promote the zoos’ resource as community hub to support initiatives to strengthen community.
What we’re looking for:
- Have a good understanding of working with communities, public engagement practices and GDPR guidelines
- Ability to plan, design, deliver and evaluate programmes using a variety of innovative and contemporary methodologies
- Be an assertive communicator, confident in dealing with a wide range of stakeholders and presenting
- Demonstrable experience in a community engagement based position and have a track record of providing first-class customer care and service through delivery
- Experience working with external networks of stakeholders and partnerships
