Graphic Designer

Do you want to use your graphic design skills to connect kids and families with the outdoors? Do you want to help public land partners tell the stories of natural, cultural, and historical treasures across the country? 
The Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation is seeking a qualified Graphic Designer to work with our Kids in Parks program. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating self-guided brochures, trailhead signs, interpretive panels, monthly newsletters, and other creative projects.

The ideal candidate MUST be proficient in Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and other computer software programs both administratively and graphically. The ideal candidate will understand how nature play, outdoor exploration, and outdoor recreation improves the overall health and wellbeing of kids, families, and communities, and believe in the mission of the program. And, although not required, a background in, and/or an understanding of, the principles of environmental education and/or interpretation would be considered a strong plus.

Salary: $42,000 per year + amazing benefits
