Human Services Supervisor (Parks and Recreation)

The City of Claremont Human Services Department is looking for a highly enthusiastic and experienced individual to assist in the supervision of the recreation division, including the 2500-acre Claremont Hills Wilderness Park, Park Ranger program, contract classes, sports field allocations, and facility rentals.

Salary: $69,228.00 - $83,628.00 Annually

The Human Service Supervisor position offers a unique opportunity for a recreation professional to work on high-profile projects that impact the community.  Projects may include, but are not limited to, management and recommendations pertaining to park use; athletic field improvements; the implementation and management of the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park (CHWP) Community Wildfire Program; and grant management.  Additionally, the Human Services Supervisor is the department liaison to the Youth Sports Committee and the many community groups involved with the CHWP. The Supervisor would also assist with a variety of community events throughout the year.

This position directly coordinates the operations of the Park Ranger program, wilderness park, and sports field allocations and supervises one full-time Program Coordinator responsible for contract classes, facility rentals, and front counter operations.
