Summary
This position encompasses teaching several sections/grade levels of lower school science; physical, life, and environmental. Applicants should be highly creative, passionate, and dynamic education professionals able to create curriculum with ease, have the ability to meet the needs of individual students, and be adept at utilizing multisensory instructional techniques to support a broad range of student learning styles.
Jemicy School educates talented and bright college-bound students with dyslexia or other related language-based learning differences. Our Lower & Middle School Science Department is seeking an experienced educator to assume a full-time position teaching science for the 2022-2023 school year.
A bachelor’s degree in elementary/secondary education, special education, biology, or a closely related field, with 3 to 5 years of teaching experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience, is required. Additionally, the ideal candidate would have the ability and willingness to coach an athletic team and/or club, must have strong interpersonal skills, and be committed to developing successful learners, prepared for careers of the 21st century.
