Professional Advisor

Join our phenomenal team of compassionate, hardworking and equity focused professional advisors and student services professionals!

• Provide academic advising, programmatic coordination and delivery of specialized academic support services for Rubenstein School undergraduate students. 
• Provide support to RSENR Faculty Advisors through implementation of programs, initiatives, processes and procedures that maximize student retention efforts. Assist in the management of programs and professional development related to Rubenstein School diversity initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a specialized or related field and one to three years’ related experience required. Demonstrated skills working with diverse student populations. Commitment to diversity and inclusion. Current working knowledge of software applications used to support office operations required. Effective oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with university-level students desired but not required. Also desirable are: familiarity with the UVM administrative systems (DegreeWorks, PeopleSoft, Banner, myUVM, Registrar, Druple) and interest in environmental issues. Microsoft Office proficiency desirable.
