Provides support for the City of West Palm Beach sustainability initiative; and performs other related duties and special projects as assigned. This position is very analytical and detail oriented, with a focus on internal operations, an emphasis on energy, water, and Greenhouse Gas reductions. Implementation of initiatives to meet our Gold LEED for the Cities certification and community wide Net Zero 2050 goal.

Summary

Under general supervision, provides support for the City of West Palm Beach sustainability initiative; and performs other related duties and special projects as assigned. This position is very analytical and detail oriented, with a focus on internal operations, an emphasis on energy, water, and Greenhouse Gas reductions. Implementation of initiatives to meet our Gold LEED for the Cities certification and community wide Net Zero 2050 goal.

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree with a major in Environmental Studies, Public Policy, Management, Sustainable Land Planning or related field is required for this position. Education will be verified using the “Education Requirements” listed below. Four (4) years relevant work experience in the area of sustainability program management is required, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
