Teachers work in dynamic teams, spend multiple weeks in the field every year, and are expected to wear many hats as they shepherd baby adults through the transition to adulthood.
Summary
The first three words of The Sage School mission are "We honor adolescence." We are looking for teachers for grades 6-12, who want to and like working with teenagers, who have skills in math, writing, or Spanish, and who want to add a new narrative to education.
The Sage School is looking for full-time teachers. The specifics of the job depend on the skills of the people involved. Specifics skills in Writing, Math, and Spanish complement work in our Human Ecology curriculum. To become most familiar with the school, please visit our website at www.thesageschool.org.
Teachers work independently in skills blocks classes (e.g., Spanish or Math), and as a team of 3 or 4 in Human Ecology blocks. Teachers also spend as much as three weeks in the field on Field Study each year.
