The Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) is seeking a Basecamp Coordinator to support and expand Roots & Shoots programming in the Tampa Bay, FL area. Jane Goodall's Roots & Shoots is the global youth program of the Jane Goodall Institute. Founded in 1991, it now operates in 75 countries, empowering hundreds of thousands of young people to take action for their communities, animals, and the environment. Inspired by Dr. Jane Goodall’s belief in the power of young people to create change, Roots & Shoots encourages participants to identify local challenges and develop meaningful service projects to address them. Summary

The Basecamp Coordinator will cultivate relationships, recruit and engage volunteers, and collaborate with donors, youth leaders, and community organizations to support and grow Roots & Shoots initiatives that respond to community needs. Bringing creativity and an entrepreneurial mindset, the Coordinator adds structure and organization to a grassroots, participant-driven movement, while embodying equity and inclusion in all aspects of their work.

Compensation Information

Salary for the position will be $61,000 yearly. This is a full-time (40 hours per week) position. 

The benefits for this position include health insurance, paid holidays, accrued paid time off and sick time. Laptop, cell phone, and office equipment is provided.
