Holden Arboretum is seeking a Seasonal Environmental Educator to help bring outdoor learning to life for youth, families, and visitors all summer long! This role is perfect for someone pursuing a degree or careers in environmental education, ecology, early childhood education, or related fields and is eager to share their love of the outdoors. Our Seasonal Environmental Educator will assist in designing and facilitating drop-in programming, support our summer camp programs and public events and much more!

Summary

The Seasonal Environmental Educator supports the Education Department at Holden Arboretum by assisting with the design, preparation, and facilitation of engaging public programs for youth, families, and visitors. This position plays a key role in maintaining and activating Buckeye Bud’s Adventure Woods and other interpretive spaces, supporting summer camps, and assisting with drop-in and instructor-led programs.

The Seasonal Environmental Educator works closely with the Family & Youth Engagement Coordinator, Education Department staff, contract instructors, volunteers, and fellow seasonal team members to deliver high-quality, welcoming educational experiences. This role is ideal for an enthusiastic, creative individual who enjoys working outdoors, interacting with the public, and sharing a passion for nature and environmental learning.
