Education Program Assistant 1 in Washington County, Oregon (Limited Duration)

OSU Division of Extension and Engagement invites applications for an Education Program Assistant 1 position based at the OSU Extension Washington County office in Beaverton, Oregon.  This is a F/T, limited duration, classified position starting at $17.43 hourly + benefits. Part-time to 0.80 FTE will be considered. The limited duration appointment is expected to go through July 31, 2023.

This Education Program Assistant 1 will assist in the development of an inclusive engagement plan focused on the gardening and landscaping information needs of the community. The EPA1 will also perform community outreach for the OSU Master Gardener program in Washington County, Oregon.

This Master Gardener Education Program Assistant embeds the commitment of the university to a collaborative and inclusive community in all interactions and duties performed. This individual works with university faculty to ensure that educational programs and outreach activities serve diverse populations, including those that have been historically marginalized/excluded from participation. In addition, this individual contributes to a welcoming and respectful workplace culture.
