Oregon State University Outdoor School ( ODS ) is seeking a Director of Outdoor School. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE ), 12-month, professional faculty position. The long-term goal of this ODS Program is to integrate placed-based programs into the Oregon school system that build upon youth’s skills in hands-on science and their abilities to be effective stewards and leaders in their community. Summary

Oregon State University Extension Service Outdoor School Program invites applications for a Director of Outdoor School. This position is based in Corvallis, Oregon. This is a 12-month, F/T, professional faculty position. The anticipated starting salary is in the range of $115,000 to $150,000, commensurate with education, skills, and experience.

The Director of Outdoor School has leadership and administrative responsibility for the OSU Outdoor School Program and leads the development of strategic, long-range plans and identifies measurable benchmarks; secures financial resources; promotes partnerships and collaboration with internal and external partners; ensures program visibility at local and state level; supervises program staff; manages budgets to meet established benchmarks; promotes the principles and practices of diversity, equity and inclusion; reports on program accomplishments to Oregon State legislature and ensures that program practices reflect best practices in education.
This position will require traveling to meet with program partners and stakeholders as well as to fulfill the general work requirements of this position. Active and effective communication with staff and key stakeholders is critical to the success of this position and access to wireless services may be necessary.
