Summary
Looking for nature-loving, people-loving, self-motivated, problem-solvers, who are great with students. Work in a fun, diverse, upbeat environment where you will be helping to shape lifelong memories for students, teachers and chaperones. Development, maintain and conduct all aspects of our outdoor education program including trail teaching, meals, campfire and evening activities and science-themed games, and small and large group management. Train staff in proactive, positive student behavior management as well as best practices for standards-aligned lesson planning, writing and teaching on the trail. Maintain positive relationships with visiting teachers and chaperones while supporting their roles at KEEP. Orient chaperones to their role at KEEP and meet with them daily. Accept responsibilities and supervise outdoor education program during evening hours and at other times in the absence of Program Supervisor. Maintain a clean, safe, and secure facility. Accurately dispense medications and perform first aid on an as-needed basis. Strive to create a positive and memorable lifetime experience for all participants.
