This position is responsible for coordinating with professional educators and community partners to develop and conduct environmental education focused on waste reduction and sustainability to pre-k through 12th grade students and adults in Pierce County.  Other responsibilities include developing instructional materials, promoting educational programs and giving public presentations to all age groups. The work of the Pierce County environmental education team is guided by the Pierce County Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Plan and the newly adopted Sustainability 2030 Plan. Joining this dynamic team means being part of work group that is dedicated to reducing waste and helping build a more sustainable and livable Pierce County community.
