We are looking for a full-time program manager, teacher, and camp director. This job requires good organizational, teaching, and verbal communication skills. The program manager will be required to work with both students and the classroom teachers in grades 6-12 as well as work with the high school students from the digital research program and summer camp kids ages 4-15.

Summary

The program manager’s primary responsibilities are teaching and managing programs. They also need to help develop and expand the Headwaters Science Institute’s school and camp programs. They will assist with the research programs. This person will work with the outreach manager to plan, schedule, and staff the school programs. This person is responsible for planning, teaching, developing, and scheduling all summer camps (mainly in the greater Truckee/Tahoe area). The program manager will work with the communications manager and program outreach manager to help market the programs. In support of this effort, the program manager is responsible for the collection and dissemination of all necessary materials for highlighting the programs. As a staff member, they represent and promote Headwaters Science Institute to all potential and current stakeholders including: schools/teachers, donors, program parents, and the public in Northern California and Nevada, and beyond to increase the reach of programs and perpetuate HSI’s growth. We are especially interested in increasing diversity in program participants with more underserved students.
