Site Supervisor I at Tibet-Butler Preserve and the Vera Carter Environmental Center

Discover the beauty of natural Florida and create a lasting legacy as a Site Supervisor I at Orange County Parks and Recreation's Tibet-Butler Preserve.  Manage outdoor recreation, resource management, oversee animal husbandry, curate museum exhibits and develop and facilitate environmental education at the Vera Carter Environmental Center. Assist a Site Supervisor II with operations at satellite parks and manage day-to-day operations to include technical and administrative duties. 

The 438-acre Tibet-Butler Preserve, located in Orlando, Florida, is owned by the South Florida Water Management District and is managed by Orange County Parks and Recreation Division. Under the direction of a Site Supervisor II, this position is responsible for resource management of the preserve, oversight of diverse environmental education programming, assisting with operations at multiple satellite parks, oversight of staff and related administrative duties. Preferences include progressive experience managing an environmental education facility, public speaking ability, animal husbandry experience and a degree from an accredited institution in Parks and Recreation, Natural Resource Management, Biology, Education, Sustainability, or other related field, and a background in the same.
