Summary

The Creature Conservancy is currently accepting applicants for an 11-week long education internship for our summer camp program. Summer Camp will run 11 weeks starting on June 13th and going until August 26th, 2022. Internships can be shortened if needed.

Responsibilities will include implementing thematic lessons and presentations for an audience using exhibits, hands-on activities, and games while incorporating effective child management. Interns will also have the opportunity to do some small animal handling which they will receive training for.

Hours are 8:30 am to 4 pm Monday-Friday. There will be 4  late nights (June 16th, July 7th, July 28th, and August 18th)) where we will go until 10 pm to allow kids to see the Conservancy’s nocturnal animals. There will be a few days of training prior to the start of camp. Priority will be given to applicants with no planned absences and those who are pursuing degrees in an education or animal related field or those who are receiving college credit for their participation.
