Summary
- DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position provides career-applicable experience in environmental education and interpretation-related aspects of Pennsylvania State Park operations. You will shadow and assist staff in various areas of bureau environmental education, interpretation, and outdoor recreation programming support (e.g., lesson plan development, delivery of education programs, educational program support, etc.). You will interpret planning and projects to gain knowledge in those areas and to take responsibility for the completion of assigned project tasks. Work and educational experience will be weighted toward individuals pursuing studies that relate to education, history, and natural sciences.

QUALIFICATIONS - Internship Requirements:
- Current full-time enrollment in a bachelor’s degree, associate/2-year tech program or advanced degree program in an acceptable major.
- Freshman year completed.
- Good academic standing (2.0 GPA or higher).
- Pennsylvania residency or enrollment at a Pennsylvania college or university.
- This internship requires a valid driver's license.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Students in the following majors:
- Recreation management
- Geo environmental
- Environmental education

Compensation Information
$15.88 hourly; Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; limited weekends; part-time telework is an option
